Family Activity Ideas: Sprinkler Games

Set up a number of sprinklers in between a starting line and a finish line. Have the kids try to run from one end to the other without getting sprayed. You can also set up an obstacle course through the sprinklers that the kids have to follow while still avoiding the sprinklers. You can use old milk jugs, buckets, beach balls, or anything around the house that can get wet to create the course. If you have a pop open tunnel that can get wet which the kids can crawl through it can add a lot of excitement as well. Having one of the kids control the faucet on turning it on and off at random can be fun too if kids don't feel picked . Or, use sprinklers that all spray circles at different intervals. Award popcycles to everyone after they've run through a number of times, then go for a bike ride around the neighborhood to dry off!
